Mrs. Smith’s PreK-4

The PreK-4 for students have been learning about the growth of seeds. They have had a wonderful opportunity to care for and watch their seeds grow and receive a “Secret Message” on the plant leaves.

The plants will be in the elementary science lab on display by the windows.

(A special thanks to Mrs. Willingham for the “Secret Message” plants in a can.)

The PreK students and teachers participated in
a Student Council Energy Project.

Mrs. Smith explains the project and its results.

Our PreK Program has an option of half-day or full-day,
and three days a week (Mon, Wed, & Fri) or five days a week.
Some of our full-day PreK students are interviewed by an 8th Grader
in October 2006 for a Computer Literacy project.

One of the fun things the PreK program does is have a
Mardi Gras Parade.  On February 20, 2007 they paraded through
each buildings of the school tossing out beads and candy.
The entire school was able to enjoy the PreK Mardi Gras Parade.
It was so much fun for all.  See the pictures below.
Mr. Jay Trahan provide the music.

On Tuesday, November 20, 2006 the PreK had a Thanksgiving Program.
They invited parents, relatives, friends and the entire school.  They love to sing!

Afterwards, they had their Thanksgiving Feast in the Cafeteria.
