6th Grade Language Arts students
read to the younger students.

The sixth grade language arts class created a Halloween mask and wrote a “How To” paper based on their creation.
Once the assignment was completed, the class took it one step further.
They wanted to read Halloween stories to Sister Sharon’s class.
They chose books from the library, made treat bags and placed safety hints in each one.
The first-grade class enjoyed the stories and the treats.
All in all what started out as a writing project became a fun activity for all involved.
